Mol an ?ige Afterschool: Afterschool and Breakfast Club Manager
Mol an ?ige Afterschool in Ennistymon, Co.Clare, is looking to
recruit a Manager responsible for the running of the Afterschool and
Breakfast Club.

The Service is located at Mol an ?ige Community National School but
serves any child in the community of school going age. It is aligned
with the Steiner ethos of the school. Knowledge of the Steiner
approach is not required although an interest in it is desirable.?

PURPOSE: To manage and coordinate the daily programme of Afterschool
and Breakfast Club at Mol an ?ige Community National School. Carrying
out all management and administration related activities to before and
afterschool care.

RESPONSIBLE TO: Voluntary Management Committee (Board of Management)

KEY DUTIES INCLUDE:

* To work as part of a team including the Children, Parents, School
Teachers, After School Staff and Management Committee to deliver
high-quality before and after school care.
* To work with the other members of staff to develop a programme of
activities for the Afternoon sessions and organise extra activities
program with outside tutors.
* Ensure that the Afterschool is operating in accordance with
childcare regulations and with agreed policies and procedures.
* To liaise with the Management Committee on a regular basis,
communicate important information and assist in organising
Extraordinary General Meetings and Annual General Meetings in line
with the constiution of the company.
* To manage funding grants (National Childcare Scheme) and complete
all required financial and service returns to funding bodies.
* To administer staff payroll, maintain income and expenditure
records and liaise with the treasurer and accountant on a regular
basis.
* To keep up-to-date with childcare regulations and standards and
bring developments to the attention of staff. To identify potential
areas for Professional Development and Upskilling and ensure these are
provided and completed.

PERSON SPECIFICATION:

* Excellent organisational skills.
* Self-motivated and able to work without supervision.
* Ability to work as part of an interdisciplinary team.
* Interest in Steiner-Waldorf Education and passion for working with
children.

ESSENTIAL REQUIREMENTS:

* Must be computer literate, particularly in word and excel.
* Knowledge of budgeting, payroll, maintaining income/expenditure
accounts, petty cash, reporting to funders.

DESIRED:

* Experience in a Childcare setting or community development project.
* Bookkeeping qualification and relevant management experience.
